UK Work Permit and Work Visa Services - For individuals
|
For individuals
Those people who are looking for work in the UK under the current system will not be allowed to apply for a work permit. You will have to find a job, and then the employer must apply on your behalf for the work permit for you. You might come across some employers who will say "We don't deal with any candidates who need work permits – organize your own work permit and then come back to us later". This can put a lot of unnecessary pressure on you. But, don’t worry! Just simply contact coddan-visas-work-permits.co.uk we will be more then happy to contact them on your behalf.
Guide to UK Work Permits and UK Work Visas
There are other possibilities even if you don't have a job or a potential employer:
- You may find you’re eligible through the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) to work in the UK.
- If you are in the job market, just check in this guide to see if you are eligible for a work permit. If you are, you will be able to tell potential employers that you will get coddan-visas-work-permits.co.uk to arrange the permit for you and that you should be available to start work within 1-2 months of receiving a job offer.
- You could qualify to have another sort of visa which will allow you to work in the UK without having to get a work permit – For more information about these visas consult our general guide to UK immigration. Also, you might want to visit our section on alternatives to the work permit for other ideas.
- If the IT area is your profession and you have a degree or have 3+ years of experience, you will find that there are many companies based in the UK who may be keen to recruit you and will be happy to obtain the necessary work permit for you.
- If you are a citizen of a European Community (EC) Association Agreement country (Bulgaria or Romania) you may come to the UK and set up a company and are exempt from the usual investment requirements. Please note, however, that there is a very high refusal rate for this type of visa. Go to our guide to freelance work in the UK for EC Association Agreement nationals.
When you do eventually get issued with your work permit, you must not see it as general permission to work in the UK. It is specific to the employer who applied for it. If you have a UK work permit and want to change jobs, you will first need another permit which will have to be obtained by your new prospective employer.
